A role with Target Packaging is an opportunity to support the development of packaging for Target’s beloved owned brands, exclusive partnerships and transit packaging. As an Associate Packaging Strategist, you will:
Monitor industry trends to glean valuable, actionable insights to improve current and future prioritizations and identify new opportunities.
Support analysis of legislation and regulations, identifying risks and opportunities to influence actions for better outcomes to sustainability requirements
Develop key weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of Bill of Material (BOM) and packaging materials progress, accuracy, and completeness against stated goals
Work cross functionally across businesses, and the broader organization to inform and develop insights to advance circularity work
Provide ad hoc decision-making support for strategic initiatives and special projects
Manage, analyze, and interpret large data sets
Develop impactful visualizations and insights and be able to communicate them to business partners in a clear, compelling manner.
Understand, utilize and provide feedback on technologies and visualization tools related to material data, workflow and product development.
About you:
4-year degree or equivalent experience
Strong analytical, problem solving, and detail orientation skills
Prior experience researching, reviewing and synthesizing legislation or other complex content preferred
Prior experience with packaging or consumer goods manufacturing preferred
Prior experience with sustainability research and reporting preferred
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Proficiency with O365 suite/Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Flexibility & resiliency; comfortable working in ambiguous and ever-changing environments
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work, communicate and lead in a highly collaborative environment
