Description: Medical Doctor Associates is currently interviewing Hospitalist Opportunity in South Carolina - Locum Tenens right now, this position will be placed in South Carolina. Located 2 hours from Atlanta; 1hour 15 minutes from Spartaburg; 45 minutes from Greenville; 2 hours from Charleston170 bed hospital located in Western South Carolina is seeking Nocturnal and Hospitalist coverage to start as soon as credentialed. The hospitalist service consists of 2 day hospitalists + 2 midlevels and 1 nocturnist covering nights. The preferred schedule is 7on 7off but the hospital will accept candidates who are available for shift work only. This is a VERY! manageable census opportunity in a great part of South Caroli! na.
Daily patient census for the day shift is 15-18 patients. The nocturnist will admit 3-6 at night with occasional nights admitting up to 10. The ED will handle all code response and critical patients, however, the hospital would like the Nocturnist to feel comfortable handling central lines and intubations with backup. Candidates must be residency trained Internists or Family Medicine physicians with recent inpatient experience.
All candidates should have a current ACLS. Credentialing takes 2-4 weeks.
