Description: Medical Doctor Associates is at present looking to employ Hospitalist Opportunity in South Carolina - Locum Tenens right now, this occupation will be designated in South Carolina. More complete informations about this occupation opportunity kindly see the descriptions. 290 bed hospital is expanding its Hospitalist Program and bringing on another day and night tea! m. The facility is located 2 hours from Sumter and Orangeburg and 3 hours from Charleston. The hospital will be running this program in house â€" NO OUTSIDE HOSPITALIST GROUP.There are currently 6 day shift teams with midlevel support and 1 nocturnist. The goal is to expand to 7 day shift teams and 2 nocturnists.
Daily patient census on days is 16-22. The average number of night admissions is 8-10. Hours for this program are 7a-7p days and 7p-7a nights.The hospital has a closed ICU, so there are Intensivists on staff to round on the ICU patients. Any procedures such as Vents, lines and intubations are handled by ICU, Pulmonology and General Surgery.
The hospitalists will respond to codes but will have backup for any procedures. There is Subspecialty backup available for all specialties.The hospital uses Cerner for its EMR and order entry. They use IM Bills for their billing software. Thorough training and orientation is provided before your first shift.Can! didates should be board certified, residency trained Internist! s or Family Medicine trained with recent inpatient experience, hold a current ACLS and be willing to work at least 5 shifts per month.Competitive hourly rate offered.
