Clarendon Memorial Hospital, a hospital system doing business in Clarendon County, South Carolina, seeks to hire an individual for the position of Physician/Geriatrician to work in Manning, South Carolina. This is a full-time, forty hour per week position.
The candidate must have a Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited medical school in the United States, or a foreign equivalent advanced degree in Medicine (i.e. MBBS). The candidate must also be Board- certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. The candidate must also hold a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina and must be in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. The candidate must also possess a current narcotics registration/permit by the appropriate governmental agency; and be eligible to participate in all applicable federal health programs. The Physician/Geriatrician’s primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose and treat geriatric and internal medicine patients in an outpatient setting as a primary care medical provider. The Physician/Geriatrician will also perform requested geriatric consults in the hospital and nursing home settings in a timely manner. Duties include overseeing clinical care provided by mid-level providers; examining patients and determining appropriate examinations and tests; interpreting test results and communicating with patients; and performing other assigned departmental duties.
