Busy private internal medicine group seeks a highly qualified, full-time Internal medicine specialist. The incoming physician! will be employed by the Group with a market competitive salary and quick partnership track. Currently, there are four physicians in the Group and the founding partner is retiring creating this opportunity subsequently, rapid practice startup is anticipated.
The group provides inpatient and outpatient care as well as procedures such as colonoscopy, echocardiography interpretation and pulmonary test interpretation. Our hospitals current Medical Staff Needs Assessments identifies a need for three (3) more internal medicine specialists in our community.
The group is located within walking distance of Newberry County Memorial Hospital which enjoys a distinguished reputation beyond its local community. The new physician will inherit the large practice of the retiring physician and be supported by a nurse and appropriate clerical staff. The incoming physician will have a standard internal medicine work schedule and share call with three other internists yielding a ca! ll rotation of 1:4.
Newberry is home to the Newberry ! Opera House that offers first class entertainment. Excellent restaurants and community living are also available. It has a strong industrial economic base and excellent water activities and living are available in the nearby Lake Murray area. Other outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing are also plentiful.
Only candidates who are board certified or board eligible will be considered. Experienced Candidates and newly graduated residents are welcome. Candidates that possess experience or other capabilities beyond a typical internal medicine specialists experience will receive special consideration for the position.
